Arc Southwest 2013 Volunteer of the Year:
Colleen Campbell receives Arc Southwest’s volunteer of the year award!  It is always a happy moment when you hear Colleen’s laughter and smile at the Arc Southwest office.  Colleen has been one of Arc SW’s premier volunteers for many years and we are grateful.  It has been, however her incredible “above and beyond” efforts this past year that we would like to acknowledge in particular. She led Arc SW through this bleak time working with others and has been instrumental in bringing us through the storm to the other side.  Colleen used her incredible persistence (she would call this stubbornness), experience and her light-hearted humor to rally Arc SW and bring us to where we are now. If you see Colleen please remember to Congratulate her!

Reactions to the Olmstead Plan:
Parents and self-advocates, many of whom are members of The Arc, shared their reactions to the Olmstead Plan at the Aug. 19th listening session in Rochester: Lee Ann Erickson (pictured), Mary Ellen Mayo, Carrie Varner, and Karen Larson.
